Fiber

Does 100% juice offer significantly less fiber than whole fruit?

There’s a common misconception that consuming 100% juice instead of whole fruit and vegetables impacts fiber consumption. It doesn’t! In fact, many fruits are not particularly high in fiber, and studies indicate that replacing whole fruit with 100% fruit juice does not significantly increase an individual’s fiber consumption.

Nevertheless, fruit and vegetable juices should not be considered a complete substitute for whole fruits and vegetables.
